Corpus Christi (Latin for Body of Christ) is a feast that observes the presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ through Holy Communion-the Eucharist. It is also known as the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. If the polls are truly accurate, then 70% of Catholics polled do not believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. So, many do not understand what they are being deprived of when they do not receive Communion. Let us all learn more about the Church’s teaching of the Blessed Sacrament.
